NOTICE OF SCHOOL BOARD VACANCY
The North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District Board of Education, Hunterdon County, NJ is accepting resumes from residents from Union Township who are interested in serving on the Board of Education to fill ONE vacant Board member seat. A candidate for school board member must meet the following requirements: 1) hold U.S. Citizenship and one year’s residency in Union Township; 2) be 18 years of age; 3) be able to read and write the English language; 4) be registered to vote in the District; 5) not hold office as mayor or member of the municipal governing body; 6) have no interest in any contract with, or claim against, the Board; 7) not simultaneously hold two elective offices; and 8) not be disqualified from membership for the conviction of certain crimes. Within 30 days of appointment to the Board, a member must undergo a criminal history background investigation through the New Jersey State Department of Education. This vacancy term will expire December 31, 2021.
The Board of Education will conduct interviews at the August 24, 2021 BOE Meeting. Submissions, including a letter of interest and brief resume, must be received by noon, Friday, August 20, 2021 in the District Administration Office at:
