The New Jersey Department of Education has published a toolkit for educators and parents related to the Common Core State Standards – click here. The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) identify the specific skills and knowledge that all students are expected to learn, know, and be able to do in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. The New Jersey State Board of Education adopted the CCSS in 2010 and implemented a four-year timeline for educators to learn and begin to adapt their own lesson plans and curriculum.
