All six students from our high school district who applied for the Governor’s School of their choice were accepted.
Congratulations to Christina Dornbusch of Voorhees High School and Angela Yang and Walter Roper of North Hunterdon High School who will attend the Governor’s School of Engineering & Technology at Rutgers University, and Samuel DeFabrizio of Voorhees High School and Jenny Zhang and Trevor Edwards of North Hunterdon High School who will attend the Governor’s School in the Sciences at Drew University.
For the Governor’s School of Engineering & Technology, students will spend four weeks, free of charge, taking five academic classes, completing an intensive research and/or design group project, going on site visits to local corporations, and meeting equally talented peers and professionals from across New Jersey. For the Governor’s School in the Sciences, students will spend three weeks, free of charge, taking six science courses, completing team projects, and attending lectures discussing modern science from both industrial and academic viewpoints.
