During the annual convention for the New Jersey District of Key Club International held on April 5-7, 2013, the Voorhees High School Key Club received three notable awards:
- The Voorhees Key Club won first place in the Single Achievement Awards Category for its fall food drive, which collected over 4,500 lbs of food. Part of the food donations were given to the Clinton Kiwanis Club for its Thanksgiving baskets and the rest went to a local food pantry for distribution.
- Key Club member and Voorhees senior, Zachariah DeGiulio, received the Outstanding Service Award. This award was given by the New Jersey District Governor for Zach’s year of outstanding service as the New Jersey District Editor, a state level executive position.
- Key Club member and Voorhees junior, Zachary Waldorf, received the Distinguished Lieutenant Governor Award. This award was given by the New Jersey District Governor for Zach’s year of service as Lieutenant Governor for the 12th District of New Jersey.
At the NJ District’s Convention, students had the opportunity to participate in elections for the District Board, listen to inspirational speeches and sessions, attend informative workshops, and meet hundreds of other Key Clubbers from all over the New Jersey District.
