In recent weeks, five students from North Hunterdon High School have won prestigious art awards. Kacie Ward, a senior from Franklin Township, and Lorra Barile, a junior from Union Township, both won the Philadelphia Museum of Art / Drexel University Art Award. Morgan Evans, Michele Thiel and Stephanie Sportiello won awards at the Pingry Show.
Kacie and Lorra’s individual photography pieces were chosen from over 3,400 works of art to receive an award. Awarded artwork was put on display at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Montclair Art Museum.
Eleven local public and private schools were invited to attend The Pingry Show. Over 400 photography pieces were entered and North Hunterdon High School was chosen for three pieces by Morgan Evans (senior from Bethlehem Township), Michele Thiel (senior from Clinton Township), and Stephanie Sportiello (senior from Union Township).
