On Thursday, February 19th, the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District will hold the 3rd Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) meeting of 2014-2015 in the North Hunterdon High School Media Center.
Our guest speaker Jennifer Joyce, the Director of Employment, Transition, and Day Services at the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities, will be presenting on the following topics.
The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) is in the midst of system reformation that includes, but is not limited to, the transfer of children services, moving to a Medicaid based and fee for service model, implementing the Employment First initiative, and reforming care management. Ms. Joyce’s presentation will provide an overview of these changes and their impact on individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they age out of the school system. Information about preparing for the adult service system and accessing DDD services will also be discussed.
The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM. Please feel free to join us. If you are able to attend this meeting, please RSVP to me at mpublicover@nhvweb.net or call (908) 713-4169. Based on attendance, we may need to relocate this meeting. Prior to the actual meeting, I will send a verification email clarifying the exact location. If you are not available to attend this meeting, our next meeting will be held on April 15, 2015 in the North Hunterdon High School auditorium.
North Hunterdon High School is located at 1445 State Route 31, Annandale, NJ 08801. Please use Regional Road entrance. To access the Media Center, please use the first exterior door on your right in the courtyard, turn left down the hallway, and the media center will be on your left across from the cafeteria.
I look forward to seeing you on February 19th!
Sincerely,
