Two seniors from the North Hunterdon-Voorhees District were recognized as Unsung Heroes by the Hunterdon County School Boards Association at a ceremony held on March 14, 2024.
Congratulations to NHHS senior Sadie Lingerfield and VHS senior Matthew Evans who were nominated by their respective high school principals for the Unsung Heroes Award!
Sometimes, heroes and heroines walk among us and we don’t even know who they are. They can make outstanding contributions to their schools and communities even though they are often overlooked under traditional student recognition guidelines. Unsung heroes and heroines can be people who make their school a better place because of their warm personality, their empathy and concern for others. Sadie and Matthew definitely do just that and we are excited that they were honored with this recognition!
