Voorhees High School Presents Curtains: The Musical
A hilarious whodunit meets a classic Broadway showbiz comedy!
LEBANON TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Voorhees High School Theater Department proudly announces its upcoming fall production of Curtains: The Musical, a comedic whodunit mystery filled with show-stopping numbers, witty humor, and an unforgettable cast of characters. Performances will be held November 13, 14, and 15 at 7pm and November 16 at 2pm in the Voorhees High School Auditorium.
Set in 1959 Boston, Curtains follows the cast and crew of a Broadway-bound musical whose leading lady mysteriously dies during opening night. When a local detective — who just happens to be a musical theater fan — arrives to investigate, chaos, comedy, and chorus numbers ensue. Featuring music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Rupert Holmes, Curtains is a clever blend of mystery, romance, and old-fashioned Broadway flair.
“We’re so excited to bring this fun and fast-paced show to the Voorhees stage,” said Nancy Lomas-Reynolds, director of the production. “Curtains is not only a love letter to musical theater, but also a perfect mix of comedy and suspense that will keep audiences guessing and laughing all night.”
The production features a talented cast of Voorhees High School students, along with a dedicated crew handling lights, sound, costumes, and sets. “Our students have poured their hearts into every aspect of this show,” said music director Melissa Saito,. “It’s a true team effort that showcases the creativity and passion of our school’s performing arts program.”
