What is it?
For the past six years Voorhees Unified has participated in the Turkey Splash. The Turkey Splash is an event that fundraises for the Special Olympics and our Unified Club. Last year we raised just under $14,000 coming in 1st place in the whole state of New Jersey! Students have chosen to participate by running the 5K, jumping in the ocean, or supporting their friends by coming to the event. When we reach our fundraising goal Principal Ron Peterson dresses up in a costume of our choice and jumps into the ocean – last year he went in as Buddy the Elf! What will he be this year?
