Honor Roll

Honoring Student Achievement

Our district celebrates student excellence in academics and co-curricular activities.

Honor Rolls

High school students (grades 9-12) can earn Honor Roll recognition each marking period.

  • High Honor Roll is for students with a grade of 94 or higher in all subjects.

  • The Honor Roll includes students with a grade of 90 or better in all subjects (excluding those on the High Honor Roll).

To be eligible, students must not have any incomplete grades or have dropped a course after the mid-point of the marking period. The counseling office prepares these lists, which are then displayed by each school Principal.

For graduation, High Honors require a four-year cumulative GPA of 94 or higher, and Honors require a four-year cumulative average of 90 or higher.

Academic Awards

We recognize academic leaders:

  • The Valedictorian is the graduating student with the highest academic rank.

  • The Salutatorian is the graduating student with the second-highest academic rank.

Our counseling staff annually reviews and recommends updates to academic awards to ensure their continued relevance. We are dedicated to ensuring fair competition for all awards, free from discrimination based on race, color, creed, religion, gender, ancestry, national origin, disability, or socioeconomic status. Outside academic awards are also permitted.

National Honor Society

Students meeting the qualifications set by the National Honor Society and our local chapters are eligible for membership.

Co-curricular Awards

We also recognize students who excel in co-curricular activities (excluding athletics). Our counseling staff regularly reviews these awards and ensures all students have an equal opportunity to compete, without discrimination. Outside co-curricular awards are allowed as well.

Additional Recognitions

Teachers are encouraged to identify and report any outstanding student achievements not specifically listed here to the Principal for potential special recognition by the Board.

Presentations

  • The Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Honor Graduates are recognized at the high school graduation ceremony.

  • Academic awards, scholarships, co-curricular awards, and athletic awards are presented at the Underclassmen Awards Ceremony and the Senior Class Awards Ceremony.

  • Honor rolls and awards are released for publication according to district guidelines.
