Providence College Class of 2024 Profile, a listing of our Clubs and Organizations, and below are three links to our visit opportunities, the pre-recorded YouTube playlist of student sessions, and the Communications minor that was developed this year.
I’m also including a general overview of Providence College that I normally send to students during my visit. On October 19, we made the announcement about extending our November deadlines as well as other initiatives the College is taking a in an effort to streamline the college search process and remove barriers for students and their families.
Here is an overview of our numbers due to COVID. Feel free to pass these numbers on to the counselors in your office:
Most of our 4,100 undergraduate students chose to come back to campus to learn, though about 275 are studying remotely. It’s still a pretty small population learning remotely.
- Fewer than 25 students have officially taken a leave of absence.
- There are 1,015 students in the first-year class (we typically have between 1,050-1,750)
- 25 students who were supposed to join the Class of 2024 chose to defer their enrollment and will be part of the Class of 2025. No, this will not have an effect on the admission process for any seniors in high school right now. The highest we’ve ever had were 8 students.
- Everyone who wanted to be in person is living on campus in traditional residence hall rooms, suites or apartments. Some juniors and seniors are of campus in the usual off-campus housing.
