ANNANDALE, NJ – The North Hunterdon High School Senior “White Powder Puffers” delivered a gridiron masterclass on Saturday, dismantling the Junior “Green Powder Puffers” with a decisive 38-6 final score to claim the 2025 Powder Puff Football Championship on October 22, 2025 on Singley Field.
The Seniors established an immediate and overwhelming presence, storming to a 12-0 lead in the first quarter and extending the shutout to 25-0 by halftime. The victory was a testament to a balanced attack and suffocating defense led by the game’s Most Valuable Player, Senior quarterback Rylee Driscoll (#32).
Driscoll Dominates: MVP Driscoll was the engine of the offense, accounting for two touchdowns and adding 42 yards on the ground, all while contributing on defense with 4 key tackles. The Senior ground game was punishing, anchored by Phoebe Lingerfield (#47), who was virtually unstoppable with a game-high 138 rushing yards, a touchdown, and an additional 15 yards receiving. Running back Charlotte Stern (#12) added another 90 yards on the ground, keeping the Junior defense constantly on its heels. additionally, Osemene Omologbe (#45) was in Beastmode with her defense and 5 game saving tackles.
Quarterback Jenna Medvedich (#28) also contributed significantly, rushing for 73 yards and punching in a touchdown, highlighting the depth of the Seniors’ offensive arsenal. The defense sealed the team’s early dominance when Madisen Hladky (#80) snagged an interception and creating a turnover for the Juniors, capping off a stellar game where she also tallied 2 tackles.
Juniors Find Late Life: The Junior “Green Powder Puffers,” coached by Mr. Dan Pepe, fought valiantly against the relentless Senior surge. They were shut out through the third quarter, but showed heart late in the game. QB Sage Canavan (#73) managed 88 yards through the air, finding Nadia Harris (#72), who delivered the Juniors’ only score with a late touchdown catch and added 15 yards passing. Sadie PiersonMassey- (#48) was their top receiver with 40 yards. On defense, Brooke Ruiz (#49) and Emerson Jones (#85) led the effort with 4 tackles apiece.
Ultimately, the 2025 contest belonged to the Senior class, who put on a full display of talent, leaving the field with the hardware and a final score of 38-6.
