Mr. Hendricks has been the Jazz Instructor at the Mt. Tabor Summer Music Camp and an Adjunct Professor of Brass Pedagogy at Montclair State University and Rowan University. He has also conducted the NJAJE Region I & III High School Jazz Ensembles and served as the President of Region I for NJAJE from 2018-2021. Mr. Hendricks is currently the NJ State Past – President for NJAJE. In 2025, Mr. Hendricks conducted the North Jersey Area Band Symphonic Band.
Prior to teaching at Mount Olive High School, Mr. Hendricks has been a low brass specialist for the past thirty years. In that time, Mr. Hendricks has performed with the critically acclaimed Glenn Miller Orchestra, Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Peter Cetera, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keyes, John Mayer, Josh Groban, The Four Tops, Maria Schneider Orchestra, Frank Kuamba Lacy, Video Games Live, Secret Society Orchestra, Darlene Love, Ritchie Van Zandt, and Alan Chez with the Brothers of Funk. He also has performed with several Broadway productions such as Curtains, The Lion King, Cry Baby, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Les Miserables, and toured with Broadway Shows such as The Music Man, Miss Saigon, and Swing Forever.
The Jazz Ensemble learned a lot from Mr. Hendricks in Jazz pedagogy and history. The next big performances for the North Hunterdon Jazz Ensemble is the 22nd Annual Prism Concert on March 26, the 2nd Annual High Point Jazz Festival in Sussex New Jersey on April 1, the North Hunterdon Spring Concert on May 14, and Jazz in the Park at Finn Road Park on June 6.
