North Hunterdon High School Driver’s Education program extends its sincerest gratitude to the North
Hunterdon Education Foundation (NHEF) for their extraordinary support! Mrs. Thorsen applied for the grant and thanks to the NHEF’s generous commitment to funding half the cost of a state-of-the-art Driving Simulator, our program is continuing with more resources of safety and hands-on learning.
This significant contribution allows us to offer our students invaluable experience in a controlled, risk-free environment. The new Driving Simulator will be instrumental in teaching crucial skills such as:
-
Hazard Recognition: Training students to identify and react appropriately to potential dangers on the road.
-
Adverse Weather Conditions: Safely practicing driving in rain, snow, and fog without real-world risk.
-
Distracted Driving Scenarios: Demonstrating the serious consequences of distractions, a vital lesson for new drivers.
The NHEF’s dedication to enhancing the educational opportunities at North Hunterdon is truly commendable. This investment directly translates into safer, more confident young drivers and, ultimately, safer roads for our entire community. We are deeply thankful for your partnership and your shared commitment to the success and well-being of our students. ๐ธ Pictured in the photo are Ms. Thorsen and Michael Riccardo.
Thank you, NHEF, for driving our program forward!
