Mane Stream is excited to share our 2026 volunteer opportunities with neighboring high schools and invite students to give back to the community while earning volunteer hours for college applications.
We are a nonprofit organization serving children and adults with special needs throughout Central New Jersey. One of our largest programs is our Summer Day Camp for children of all abilities, running from June 22nd through August 28th. We are always in need of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers for this program, as well as for various other volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about our mission: to improve the quality of life for individuals with physical, developmental, emotional, and medical challenges through a diverse range of equine assisted activities, therapy services, and educational initiatives.
This is an ideal opportunity for students ages 14 and older who are interested in gaining experience working with children of all abilities and our incredible horses. No prior horse experience is required, though it is always helpful.
Students interested in the following career paths may find this opportunity especially valuable:
-
Equine Studies
-
Special Education
-
Occupational, Physical, or Speech Therapy
-
Social Work or Psychology
-
Elementary Education (Art or Physical Education)
-
Marketing or Communications
Please find our Volunteer Flyer attached for posting and distribution to students. Completed volunteer applications can be sent to volunteer@manestreamnj.org.
