Statistics:Harvey had a spectacular meet Wednesday at the Skyland Conference Championships. She won the 200 meters in 25.19 seconds, the 400 intermediate hurdles in 1:02.03 and the 400 meters in 56.17. Her intermediate time ranks No. 7 in the U.S. this spring and her 400 time ranks No. 7 on the region all-time list.

Congratulations to the Girl’s Track & Field team as they placed 2nd at the Skyland conference Championships yesterday.  Individual Skyland Champs were Morgan Harvey in the 400 hurdles, 400 meters, and 200 meters, and Eve Glasergreen in the 3200 meters.  Other medal winners included Brette Wilson, Caty Whalen, Taylor Mantz, Cailyn Lavigne, Sally Falk, Amy Suttmeier, Krystal Cyphers, and Catie Hallstrom.  Great team effort girls!

Congratulations to the Trevor Knowles on his first -place jump at the Skyland Conference Championships. Dave Folsom ran a personal best in bringing home silver in the 1600m. Sam Layding took home a second place in the 3200m, and Mitch Paisker, Nick Seibert, and Pete Dehkes brought home third place medals. The 4 X 400m team of Walter Roper, Zach Fink, Alex Camisa and John Serian ran the fastest time for a North team in that event in six years. Good job boys.

North Hunterdon’s Boys take third and Ladies take Second at H/W/S County Track and Field Championships

NHHS-TRACKCongratulations to the Girl’s Track & Field team as they placed second at the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Championships on Saturday.  The girls lost a tough 101 to 100 decision to Pope John.  Morgan Harvey won 4 medals. Cailyn Lavigne and Eve Glasergreen won 3 medals.  Jillian Kennedy, Sally Falk, and Caty Whalen won 2 medals and Krystal Cyphers, Brette Wilson, Cameron Harris-Browne, Amy Suttmeier and Taylor Mantz won a medal each.  Hunterdon Warren Champs included Suttmeier in the Javelin, and Harvey in the 400hurdles, 200 meters, and 100 high hurdles.  Morgan Harvey was named Most Outstanding Runner of the meet.  A superb team effort. 

Congratulations to the following boys on their medal-winning performances at Saturday’s Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex track meet: Erik Adamcik, Dave Folsom, Nick Skelton, Josh Knaub, Walter Roper, Zach Fink, John Serian, and Alex Camisa. Fourteen different boys scored points for the Lions in the meet.

Erik AdamcikNorth Hunterdon’s Erik Adamcik won the boys pole vault at a height of 14 feet, 6 inches. Adamcik. the No. 1 ranked vaulter in the region who is headed to Rider, just missed 15 feet on his final attempt after he secured the win.

North Hunterdon’s Amy Suttmeier won the girls javelin with a meet-record throw of 120 feet, 3 inches.

Lady Lions Lax pulls away from Phillipsburg in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Lacrosse Tournament

GLAX-BurgNorth Hunterdon scored 11 second-half goals to pull away in its 19-9 victory over Phillipsburg in the quartefinal round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament in Annandale.

Julia Wood pumped in five goals and picked up an assist and Grace Plassche scored five times. Caroline Jaeger added four goals and two assists to the victory. Molly Zgoda sank six goals for Phillipsburg.

Lady Lions roar past top seeded High Point in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Softball Tournament – Semifinals

LadyLionsSoftballMason Spichiger, Taylor Knoble, and Jen Inamoto each had run-scoring hits for North Hunterdon in the top of the 11th inning en route to a three-run inning as North Hunterdon defeated High Point in Wantage.

Spichiger struck out nine and walked two while allowing four hits and no earned runs for North Hunterdon while she had three hits on offense and Knoble had two. Allyson Frei struck out 20 and walked two while allowing seven hits and two earned runs for High Point.

North Hunterdon was seeded second on the Hunterdon/Warren side of the bracket while High Point was the top Sussex County seed and ranked 7th in NJ. The game was tied, 0-0, after nine innings.

The junior righty improved to 11-5 in the circle on the season and 26-9 in her career by beating Hunterdon Central 3-2 on Tuesday, two-hitting Montgomery with 12 strikeouts in a 6-0 victory on Thursday and shutting out North Warren 3-0 in a Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex quarterfinal game on Saturday.

Mason Spichiger struck out nine and walked one while allowing no runs for North Hunterdon as it defeated North Warren, 3-0, in the quarterfinals of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament in Annandale.

Carly Severini went 2-for-4 for North Hunterdon, seeded second on the Hunterdon/Warren side of the bracket, while Caitlin Inamoto and Kayla Parker each had an RBI. Caileigh Holland and Nicole Farrell each had two hits for North Warren, seeded sixth on the Hunterdon/Warren side.

The Lady Lions will face High Point next Saturday at High Point 1pm game in the Semifinals of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Softball Tournament.

Marc Monks went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI to help North Hunterdon rally for a 6-5 victory against Delaware Valley in the quarterfinals of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament in Annandale.

C.J. Rasile finished 1-for-1 with two RBI for North Hunterdon, which scored four runs in the the fifth and one in the sixth to take a 6-5 lead. Ryan Hann went 3-for-4 with a solo home run for Delaware Valley.
The Lions will face Vernon next Saturday at home 2pm game in the Semifinals of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Baseball Tournament.

In all 22 different girls scored points for the Lady Lions. Another great team effort. Great job girls.

North Track Raids the 8th Annual Raider Relays

NHHS-TRACKNick Skelton, whose personal best in the event is 6-7, paired with Peter Dehkes for a 12-4 total. That was eight inches higher than the next-closest team. Dehkes’ personal best is 6-4, which makes for some competitive practices.

North Hunterdon picked up two other gold medals, winning the javelin with James Balance (155-11) and Mitchell Paisker (149-9) and 4×1600 in 18:43 with Samuel Layding (4:39), Nick Seibert (4:50), Matthew Sergison (4:39) and David Folsom (4:32).

North Hunterdon’s girls won the 4×800 and the 4×1600 as Eve Glasergreen provided an impressive 5:09 leg.

Congratulations to the following Girl’s Track & Field members.  The 4X800 relay team of Cailyn Lavigne, Sally Falk, Megan Sergison, and Eve Glasergreen qualified for the Penn Relays on Saturday as they ran a time of 9:34.5 breaking the Skyland Relays record held by the 1994 Hunterdon Central girls mark was 9:36.7.  The girls will join Morgan Harvey who will run in the 400 Intermediate Hurdles on April 25th at the University of Pennsylvania. Cailyn Lavigne ran a 2:18 split and was followed by Megan Sergison (2:29), Sally Falk (2:25) and Eve Glasergreen (2:19). Great job Girls!
