Senior Maintain Dominance over the Junior in the 2026 PowderPuff Spectacular with a 30-26 win!

ANNANDALE, NJ – The North Hunterdon High School Senior “White Powder Puffers” delivered a gridiron masterpiece on Wednesday, squeaking by the Junior “Green Powder Puffers” with a decisive 30-26 final score to claim the 2026 Powder Puff Football Championship on October 21, 2026 on Singley Field.

Under the Friday night lights, the atmosphere was electric as the Seniors and Juniors faced off in the 2026 Powder Puff showdown. Led by Head Coach Mr. Dan (Pepe’s Playmakers) Pepe, the Senior White Powder Puffers set out to extend their winning streak, while Mrs. Meghan (Luick of the Draw) Luick and Mrs. Angela (X-Factor) Exley’s Junior Green team looked to stage an upset.

The Seniors struck first in a hard-fought opening quarter, taking a narrow 8–6 lead before pulling ahead 22–14 by halftime. Senior Most Valuable Player #31 Sage (The Human Highlight Film) Canavan led the charge, delivering an unstoppable performance with 115 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. #39 Brooke (Superwoman) Ruiz threw for 185 yards and rushed for 15 yards. On defense, #25 Skylar (The Blizzard) Burr set the tone for the Seniors by snatching an interception and contributing 9 tackles.

By the end of the third quarter, the Seniors pushed their advantage to 30–20, thanks to key dynamic plays from #30 Carly (The Playmaker) Doremus, who put up 45 rushing yards and 5 receiving yards.

However, the Juniors refused to go down quietly. Mounting a furious fourth-quarter comeback, quarterback Madi (Schilling & Chilling) Schilling connected with dynamic targets across the field, finding #44 Maeve (The Rogue) Rogan and #36 Nola (The Rocket) Riley. #47 Wynter (Drop the Mic) MacDonald barreled for 60 yards rushing for a touchdown. Down the stretch, #34 Sadie (Intra Sonic) Intrabartolo came through with a key interception to keep the Juniors within striking distance, supported by solid defensive stands from #23 Alex (The Blitze) Friedman, Brigid (The Bridge) Gilligan and Nora (Speck-tacular) Speckin.

The Juniors clawed back within four points, but the Senior defense held firm in the final minutes. When the final whistle blew, the Seniors sealed a thriller, 30–26.

With the victory, the Senior Class of 2026 maintained Senior dominance—winning four of the last five Powder Puff matchups—and stretched their series rivalry record to 9–5 all-time!
