The North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District has established no homework/no pressure days for the 2026-2027 school year. These days allow students to take a mental break from schoolwork and testing at various times during the school year. Students can use the breaks to spend more time with family and friends and enjoy their personal hobbies or activities. Many schools across New Jersey have implemented this concept over the last several years with positive results, and we have found the practice to be beneficial for students.
For the 2026-2027 school year, homework will not be assigned to students during the following dates, and no assessment will be given on the day they return to school.
- Rosh Hashanah (September 11 through September 13)
- Yom Kippur (September 18 through September 21)
- Thanksgiving break (November 25 through November 29)
- Winter break (December 23 through January 3)
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 15 through January 18)
- Presidents’ Day weekend (February 12 through February 15)
- Spring break (March 25 through April 4)
