Monroe pushed North Hunterdon to the limit, losing both dual meets in the final bout before suffering a 38-18 loss to Hunterdon Central in its final match of the day.
Monroe then took a 25-23 lead into the final bout against North Hunterdon, but Matthew Mohan won by decision at 120 pounds to give North Hunterdon a 26-25 victory – the Annandale school’s 14th consecutive victory.
“We found a way to win,” North Hunterdon coach Tim Flynn said. “It was a good day.”
