North Hunterdon (16-11) was led by DelSantro with 14 points and Woolhouse, who battled Hopkins all night and finished with 12 points, 18 rebounds and four blocks. Xander Braun added nine boards.
North reached the final for the first time since 2011 when it defeated Vernon for the title. The Lions have lost their last five meetings with Pope John in this tri-county event.
“No. 13 killed us with that and-one right after we tied the game in overtime. That was tough,” DelSantro said. “We have a state game against Ridge coming up so we’ll take all the good things we did into that game. Our biggest thing was our energy. We had energy all four quarters and overtime and that’s all coach (Kyle Rehrig) asks for. Tonight was different. Other games we’ve taken a quarter off but tonight we played hard the entire game.”
