North Hunterdon went 1-2 in the 3,200 behind David Mugavero (9:33.30) and Sam Layding (9:37.96) and the Lions’ Trevor Knowles, recovering from a shoulder injury that kept him out a month, won the pole vault at a height of 14 feet.
North Hunterdon had double-winners in Morgan Harvey in the 100 and 400 intermediate hurdles races as well as Eve Glasergreen in the 1,600 and 3,200. Harvey’s time of 1:00.54 set a meet record in an event where she is ranked No. 1 in the U.S. (1:00.02).
Harvey also broke her own mark in the highs in 14.50, besting Del Val’s Sara Gardner (14.89) in the finals after Gardner edged her in the morning trials. Gardner matched the meet record in winning the high jump at 5-4 and lowered her school record in the intermediates (1:04.16), where she finished fifth.
Glasergreen won the 1,600 and 3,200 wire-to-wire in times of 5:00.58 and 10:51.86, respectively.
