North Hunterdon
Like their neighbors in Flemington, the sixth-seeded Lions (11-6) closed out the weekend on a four-game winning streak. It was capped by a 66-43 verdict over 11th-seeded South Hunterdon in an H/W/S second round tilt.
The tournament victory was highlighted by four Lions in double figures, only the second time this season North has done that. Senior Michael DelSantro, who leads Hunterdon County with 47 3-pointers and is second in scoring (14.2 ppg.), paced North with 13 points. Paul Woolhouse, who has come on of late with three double-figure outings in his last three games, scored 12 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, Nick Guasta had 11 points and Wes Reinagel (12.2 ppg.) added 10 points.
The Lions will face third-seeded Hackettstown in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
