Luke Approvato (120), Ryan Pomrinca (126), Brian Smolinsky (152), Mike Sicola (160) and Tyler Gapas (182) won individual titles for the Lions.

LionSwimmingCongratulations to the girls swim team for breaking 2 school records in their meet against Ridge on 12-16-14, each one by over 3 seconds. Claire Lee broke the in the 200 Individual Medley record, and the 200 Medley Relay team of Claire, Carmen Kuo, Maddie Hynoski, and Emily Murphy broke their own record, and their time also qualified them to swim in the Meet of Champions in March.  Congratulations girls!

ucaThe North Hunterdon Varsity Cheerleaders won Silver Medals at the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex competition on Saturday night with an amazing performance.
They also earned a First Place Trophy, competing against 10 teams in the Large Varsity division at the UCA Regional Competition at Kutztown University on Sunday, winning an automatic bid to the National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, FL in February 2015.

Eve-wins-group4CCNorth Hunterdon senior Eve Glasergreen won the NJSIAA Group 4 meet individual championship Saturday at Holmdel Park.

Glasgergreen’s time of 18 minutes and 15 seconds was a personal best for her and came in 27 seconds of Hillsborough’s Stephanie Mauer in second.

Congratulations to Anna DiMarcello, Kelsey Farbanish, Emily Ehrhart, Kelley McCarten, Amber Caulfield, and Erin Kelley as the Lions team finished third as a team in the race with 131 points to Ridge’s 90 and Hillsborough’s 91, and all three Skyland Conference squads qualified as a team for next week’s Meet of Champions at Holmdel.

The Lions boys soccer team defeated Phillipsburg 2-1 and won out right the Skyland Conference Raritan Division over Montgomery HS. Michael Finer and Sean Rooney had a goal a piece to help clinch the division title for the Lions. The Lions will play Phillipsburg again on Saturday November 1st for the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex County Title.

Mohan leads Lions Soccer team to HWS County Quarterfinal victory over Hackettstown

Matt Mohan had two goals and an assist as fifth-seeded North Hunterdon defeated top-seeded and previously undefeated Hackettstown, 3-1, in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament quarterfinals in Hackettstown.

Michael Finer added a goal for North Hunterdon, which has won nine of its last 11 games, and Nick Eugenio made six saves. Steve Jaxheimer scored a first half goal for Hackettstown.

The Lions will travel to Hunterdon Central on Saturday, October 25 1pm to face the Red Devils in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Semifinals.

“Congratulations to the Girl’s Cross-Country Program for their strong showing yesterday at the Hunterdon Warren Sussex Championships.  Varsity placed 2nd, and JV Placed 1st.  Individually Sarah Conti won the Freshmen Race, Emelia Maslanka won the JV Race, and Eve Glasergreen defended her title and won for the 2nd straight year  by rolling to victory in 18:27.6.  Anna DiMarcello also medaled in Varsity and placed 6th overall.  Keep up the good work girls!!  Great job!”
Congratulations to the members of the Boys’ Cross Country team on their performances yesterday at the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Meet. Our Freshman team won, our JV team placed second, and our Varsity team placed third. Special congratulations go out to Samuel Layding (placing third), Tom DeAngelis, Austin Frank, Braden Haris, Matt Chang, Ben Bavaro, and Ethan Blake for placing in the top ten of their individual races. Extra special congratulations to Joe Gallo for winning the freshman championship.

Matt Ferraro added a goal and two assists for North Hunterdon and Nick Eugenio had three saves. Brandon Zeas scored in the 50th minute for Lenape Valley and Matt Ellingworth made eight saves.

The lions will travel to Hackettstown on Saturday 10/18 in the Quarter Finals of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament.

Jordan Ditzel rushed 17 times for 104 yards and two touchdowns for the Lions, who improved to 3-1 on the season.

North Hunterdon High School senior Eve Glasergreen ran the second-fastest time by a girl at Greystone Park’s 3.1-mile cross country Saturday morning as she won the senior race at the 35th NJCTC Bernie Magee Class Meet Championships in Morris Plains.

Glasergreen posted a 17:52 time, winning the race by over a minute with Rumson-Fair Haven’s Rachel Lehnert at 18:59.

Frosh boys win frosh division at MageeThe Freshmen boys won the Freshmen division. Ray Sellaro and Joe Gallo go 1,2 in frosh race.  Sam Layding placed second in the senior race.
