Boston Marathon Scare – NHHS Guidance Counselors Remediation

Dear Students and Parents,

Boston-MarathonWe are all shocked and saddened by the events in Boston yesterday afternoon. We also know that people from our area may have been affected; one of our own counselors ran the Boston Marathon several years ago.

We would like to share an important observation that has been noted by many of those who were in the area. Although this event has been traumatic, the response of those who ran in to help was striking. Under these circumstances, it is important to focus on how helpful our fellow citizens can be, and that the reaction of those reaching out to help others is always impressive.

Any student who experiences distress resulting from this event should be encouraged to reach out to the Guidance Office for assistance. The counselors are here to help, as always.
