An email was sent to all students to cast their vote for this year’s Homecoming King and Queen. Be sure to take a look at the video created by Student Council about the 6 members of the court and cast your vote by THIS AFTERNOON.
Banned Book Week is all this week and in lieu of this event, the National English Honors Society will have buttons in the library promoting this year’s theme – the freedom to read books of your choice. Stop by the Media Center and pick up a button.
Key club will be holding a cotton candy sale outside of the new cafe to raise funds for Relay for life outside of the new cafe on Monday October 4 after school
French Club will have its Opening Meeting Monday, October 4 after school in room 256 from 2:30-3:10. French Club is open to everyone. Meetings consist of food, french games as well as planning for future fundraisers and events.

Are you interested in chess? Chess Club is officially meeting on Wednesday, October 6th at 2:30 pm, in the Media Center! Players of all ratings and experience are welcomed. We will be playing over the board chess and online chess. Please email Mr. Kelly if you would like to join.

ATTENTION ALL SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS: ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20, THERE WILL BE A FIELD TRIP TO HUNTERDON COUNTY POLYTECH FOR ANY SOPHOMORE OR JUNIOR INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT POLYTECH PROGRAMS. ALL SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS AND THEIR PARENTS HAVE BEEN EMAILED A PERMISSION SLIP. ALL PERMISSION SLIPS MUST BE HANDED TO MRS. TURKUS IN THE COUNSELING OFFICE BY OCTOBER 6 FOR STUDENTS WHO WISH TO ATTEND THE TRIP.
Voorhees FCCLA has partnered with Operation Jersey Cares to provide much needed items to NJ Residents who have lost so much as a result of Hurricane Ida. A list of items has been emailed to students, staff, and parents/guardians – there are also flyers throughout the building. You can drop off any donations to Room 210. There will also be a drop off box near the security desk as of Thursday.
