What is Accreditation?

For the past eight years, North Hunterdon High School has gained accreditation through our participation in the Accreditation for Growth (AFG) process, sponsored by the Commission of Secondary Schools of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.  This is an ongoing cycle of reflection, action, and improvement that calls on our school community to identify objectives and develop action plans for realizing these goals.  In an effort to evaluate and update the accreditation protocols offered to its member schools, the Middle States Association has developed a new protocol by which schools can earn re-accreditation by engaging in action research.  As a result of its history of developmental strength in previous accreditation reports, stability and student performance, North Hunterdon High School is proud to be one of only eleven schools invited to participate in this pilot program.

“If cheating behavior is seen as normal, there is no violation of ethics and thus no need for neutralization” (Rettinger & Kramer, 2009).
