The Voorhees High School YMCA Youth and Government Club had their yearly conference April 9th & 10th and had a successful performance. Participants Lauren Allgood, Kristina Hernick, Spencer Smith, Andrew Stein and Camila Stevens each submitted bills to be debated by a mock student-run legislature. Spencer Smith, Kristina Hernick, and Lauren Allgood all had their bills make it out of chamber with Lauren’s being signed by the Youth Governor. Congratulations to Andrew Stein as his bill was nominated for Outstanding legislation and to Lauren Allgood who was named Outstanding Statesperson for her Chamber! Lauren will also be representing Voorhees at the YMCA’s KONA Conference this summer.
