Posted: April 29, 2021 | Entry Type: Post

For all interested students – Ms. Hardy – from the food services staff will be outside the cafe as you exit the building daily.  She will have a lunch and breakfast (for the following day) available for all students free of charge. You don’t need to sign up, you would just grab it and go. The lunch does require you to heat up the items once home.  For those students staying through for sports or drama club (and signed up on the google form), please make sure you grab a hot lunch from inside the cafeteria and don’t take a bag from Ms. Hardy.

Juniors –

 – Normandy will be here from through Thursday, May 6 for Class of 2022 Senior Portraits. They will be set up in room 135 – across from the elevator. They will have appointments from 8:15am – 3pm daily. Please check your email or the VHS website for more details.

There is a mandatory SHIP meeting TODAY. Please plan to attend at 12:00 or 1:30. We are planning 8th Grade Virtual Visits. If you have any questions see Ms Luckhardt or Ms Radus

There will be no Youth and Government meeting this afternoon.

2021 Yearbooks are available for purchase.  Go to yearbookordercenter.com and enter school code 4917.  The current cost is $95.

Seniors –  VHS will be recognizing Decision Day tomorrow.  You are welcome to sign the banner – on the table next to the mall with your name and you post-grad plans.  Seniors and Staff are also welcome to wear their school colors, military affiliation, etc.  The banner will be out next week as well in case you don’t have a chance to stop by tomorrow.

Tomorrow, Voorhees will celebrate the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network’s Day of Silence.  In preparation for that day, a table will be set up in the Mall today with stickers to help celebrate tomorrow’s tribute to those who have been marginalized within the LGBTQ community.   Students and Teachers who plan to participate in the Day of Silence, please make sure you grab a sticker to show you are participating in the Day of Silence as an Ally or Member of the LGBTQ community. You can get these stickers any day this week from Miss Lanzilotta outside of guidance or Miss Polgar in room 331. There are also pride masks to wear if anyone would like one. There is also a pride flag to sign if you would like to sign the flag to show your support of the LGBTQ community.
