Classroom location Changes for today: 

 

-Ms. Huizenga’s Block 1, 2, 3, 6, and 7 in the new cafe and her L1 directed study in the auditorium. 

-Ms. Exley’s Block 1, 2, and 7 in the new cafe.  Her Block 5 in the main cafe and her L1 directed study in the auditorium.

-Mr. Masser’s block 1, 2, 6, and 7 in the new cafe and his L1 directed study in the auditorium.

-Mrs. D’Agusto’s Block 2, 3, and 6 in the new cafe.

 

 

Today is the last day for the Key Club food drive.  Non perishables are worth 1 point per pound.  Perishables are 2 points per pound.  All food should be marked with the teacher name and block number.  Please bring any donations to the cove in the corner of the cafeteria. 

 

There will be Math Sat Help TODAY in room 326 with Ms. Tusa 

There will be English Sat Help TODAY in room 225 with Mr. Crane 

 

German students in World Language Honor Society:  We will be meeting to work on the World Language bulletin board located near Room 255 after school TODAY. 

 

A Reminder that basketball try-outs for girls and boys begin today. Girls practice will be from 3:00-5:00 and boys will come in from 5:00-7:00.  Good luck all!

 

Key Club is working with United Way and helping with Holiday Hands, which provides gifts to thousands of Hunterdon County families. There is a SignUpGenius where anyone can fill a slot and donate a specific item. Sign-ups are until November 30 and donations are to be brought to Voorhees High School no later than December 3.  Check your email for the link and details. 

The Voorhees Key Club is  sponsoring a fundraiser for Wreaths Across America through the Month of November.  Our goal is to sponsor 250 wreaths. Wreaths are $15 each. Contact Teddy Martin or any Key Club Officer for details.

The New Jersey FFA Association hosted their competitive Fall Career Development Events on Thursday, November 18 at Rutgers University. The Environmental Sustainability and Engineering Academy had a Forestry team and Land Judging team competing

Forestry placed second in the state out of seven teams total (7 points away from a first place win). Team members and their rankings are: 

– Alyssa Pershad – 3rd place individual

– Amelia Weldon – 4th place individual 

– Kirstyn McKee – 5th place individual 

– Emily Robbins – 10th place individual 

 

Land Judging placed FIRST in the state out of twelve teams total. They will have the opportunity to represent New Jersey at the national contest in Oklahoma in the spring.Team members and their rankings are: 

– Ned Scannell: 1st place individual 

– Meredith Whitlock: 2nd place individual

– Juliann Bonomi: 6th place individual 

– Nina Weiland: 7th place individual

 

The High Score of the 2nd NJ Math League Contest goes to Billy Mc Glynn with 5 out 6 questions correct…..Congratulations Billy

 

This past Saturday, senior Jack Tavaglione placed 7th at the Meet of Champions with a new school record time of 15 minutes and 39 seconds.  His performance earned him 1st Team All State honors, and his time at Holmdel Park is the third fastest in state history for a Group 2 runner.
