Science Honor Society

Advisors:

Ashley Post: apost@nhvweb.net

Meghan Plaxe: mplaxe@nhvweb.net

SNHS is a prominent scientific organization that will engender a new group of young thinkers who will be the future of industry, research, and scientific exploration for America.

Membership in this organization is by invitation only, and selection criteria is based on both the level and grade that a student has earned in their first 3 years of science courses.  In addition, the student must be enrolled in a full year science course as a senior.  Once inducted, the students will complete a wide variety of volunteer activities in order to earn service hours.

Are you eligible for Science National Honor Society?  You must……

  • Be enrolled in a FULL year science course your senior year.  This includes the  Biomedical Academy, but does not include Computer Science.  *Organic Chemistry is the ONLY half year course we will allow you to use to fill this requirement.

  • Have completed 3 FULL year science courses in which your grade for an Honors level class was a 90 or above and your grade for an AP level class was an 83 or above.

If you meet all of these criteria, then you will receive an invite to join from Mrs. Post or Mrs. Plaxe sometime in April of your junior year.
