Driver’s Education

356 DRIVER EDUCATION THEORY Gr. 10 2.5 cr., 18 wks  Classroom Driver Education is a required course for all sophomores. It is intended to familiarize the student with the necessary, basic information for learning how to drive properly and safely. The course investigates the history of transportation, offers an in-depth study of New Jersey driving statutes and Division of Motor Vehicles Regulations, including driver responsibilities. Law enforcement agencies offer input into the legalities involved in driving, traffic safety, and accident prevention.
Upon completion of the course, the students will take the New Jersey State written exam which, if successfully passed, is valid for two years.
