9) The Seniors clinched the 2026 Powder Puff Football Championship yesterday at Singley Field, edging out the Juniors 30–26 in a thrilling matchup. Guided by Coach Dan Pepe, the Seniors established a 22–14 halftime lead driven by Game MVP Sage Canavan’s three-touchdown performance and quarterback Brooke Ruiz’s 185 passing yards, with Skylar Burr setting the tone on defense with an interception and nine tackles. The Juniors staged a fierce fourth-quarter comeback—fueled by QB Madi Schilling, a 60-yard touchdown run from Wynter McDonald, and a key interception by Sadie Intrabartolo—but the Senior defense held firm in the final minutes. The victory extends the Senior Class of 2026’s rivalry record to 9–5 all-time, capping off an exciting event made possible by the coaches, administration, referees, event organizers, and the Golden Lions Pep Band.
