1) YAG will be holding a mandatory meeting after school today in room 243. Important information about the Pre-Leg field trip will be discussed and forms will be distributed that you must turn in to attend Pre-leg. If you cannot attend this meeting, you must reach out to Mrs. Voegele prior to the meeting.
2) Boys volleyball will have tryouts on March 10th, 11th, and 12th from 3-5pm in the Main Gym. Please sign up in Aspen and get all necessary paperwork done. Email Coach Matisak or Prado with any questions.
3) Learn about the RVCC Honors College and NJ Stars programs with Greg DeSanctis in the Media Center this Tuesday, March 10, at 8:44 AM. An email was sent out to all Juniors, Seniors, and their parents/guardians with eligibility requirements. See Ms. Fisher in Counseling today to sign up.
4) Attention Seniors: Local scholarship opportunities are now available on the Guidance website offering free money for college or a technical school! You may apply for as many scholarships as you qualify for, provided you submit your applications by March 13th. Please note – late submissions will not be accepted. If you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Craske in the Guidance Department.
5) The North Hunterdon fencing teams wrapped up the season this weekend with several students competing at the individual state championships. Four fencers from the girls team qualified for the event. Sophomores Raquel Koscuik and Anne Allbrecht-Smith and Freshman Annabella Chen were competing in their first individual championship. Senior Saanvi Sachin was returning to the individual championships for the second time. Anne had the best performance. Entering the tournament, Anne was ranked 37th in the state. She had a very strong performance and advanced to the final round, placing 6th in girls foil. In girls epee, Annabella finished in 27th place, and Raquel finished 35th. Saanvi placed 26th in girls saber. The boys team was also represented at the championships. Junior Logan Hall advanced to the 2nd round in boys foil, ultimately finishing in 16th place.
6) Congratulations to the North Hunterdon Jazz Ensemble and Mr. Carroll for bringing the heat to the 14th Annual Jazz Band Semifinal Showcase on March 8th! Held at the iconic SteelStacks in Bethlehem, our musicians secured a prestigious “Silver” Excellent rating in a high-caliber competition hosted by ArtsQuest and Moravian University. Several individual players are now in the running for the SteelStacks Jazz All-Star Big Band, an elite group that will take the stage at Musikfest on August 1, 2026. Congratulations to our incredible students and music staff for their hard work and stellar performance!
7) Congratulations to Eric Beswick, Ben Adamo, Patrick Palma, and Cole Kober. The Boys 4×800 meter relay placed 4th in the NJ Indoor Track State Meet of Champions on Sunday and now move on to the New Balance Nationals next weekend.
8) Congratulations to the Lion wrestlers who advanced to the NJSIAA Wrestling Championships this weekend in Atlantic City! Region Champions are Cayden Wadle and Stella Frigioli. Also advancing are Owen Fol, Reid Buzby, Aiden Yarussi, Kieran Raley, Owen Dandeo, and Anthony DiSimone. Good luck!
9) A huge shout out to the North Hunterdon Voorhees Hockey team as they take the ice at the Prudential Center tonight for the State Championship! Good luck everyone!
