1) Attention all sophomores: On Monday, October 6, a representative from Hunterdon County Polytech will give a presentation in the auditorium during L1 and L2 about polytech programs for the 2026-2027 school year. Please plan on attending if you are interested in learning more.
2) Attention all sophomores and juniors: On Thursday, October 16, there will be a field trip to Hunterdon County Polytech for any sophomore or junior interested in learning about the polytech programs at the Bartles or Central campuses. All sophomores and juniors, and their parents, have been emailed a permission slip. Please turn in your permission slip by today, Friday October 3rd, to Ms. Fisher in the counseling office.
3) Freshmen election packets for Class Officers are now available for pick up or they can be found on the school’s website under the Student Council tab. Hard copies can be picked up from Ms. Allora (in special services) or Mr. Franzyshen (room 238) .
4) Are you interested in swimming on the North team? If so, there will be a boys and girls swim team interest meeting on Wednesday, October 15th at 2:30 in rm 217.
5) Calling freshman and sophomore girls! A pre-season meeting will be held for girls fencing on Wednesday, October 22nd. The meeting will be held in Cafe B immediately after school. Everyone is welcome to attend; no previous experience in fencing is required. Please reach out to Coach Millhiser or Coach Semanchik if you have any questions.
6) Boys fencing will have a team meeting for any interested student and returning team members in room 125 on October 22nd at 2:30. Please see Mr. McKinnon for more information or questions.
7) Northern Lights Art and Literary Magazine is now accepting submissions. Please email your original artwork and poetry to northernlights@nhvweb.net to be considered for the 2026 magazine. Please see Mrs. Rhoads or Mr. Shoemaker with any questions.
