Congratulations to Biomed students who placed in the HOSA Central Regional Competition this past weekend in various events. Second place medals were awarded to Regan Kenny and Emanuella Youchom-Tagheu, third place to Riyana Parikh, and fifth place to Erin Roberts and Amelia Reitman. Great job Biomed!
The Unified Lions took a tough loss yesterday to the Del Val Terriers, 50-48, in their final game of a great season. Leading the charge for the Lions was the unstoppable “Iron” Malachi Tyson (#31) who dominated the court with a game-high 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals; #24 Sean (Shaq Diesel) Pettegrove, who also dominated the court had 14 points, 5 rebounds and 1 steal. #6 Jamie (Luck of the Irish) Sullivan and #43 Andrew (Superman) Heaney had 4 points apiece. #9 Bettina (Bat Girl) Manasseri-Castro (#9) showcased her versatility, contributing 2 points for the Lions and #53 Will (The Big Deal) Acosta added 2 points to close the scoring for our Lions. A huge shout out to all the coaches and staff who helped out this season.
Get ready for the ultimate showdown! The Unified Basketball season culminates in a thrilling clash between the Unified team and the Lion Pride Staff on Monday, February 24th at 5pm! Last year, the Unified team stunned the staff with a jaw-dropping 100-69 victory. Will they repeat their triumph? Don’t miss this epic battle! Be there to witness the excitement and cheer on your favorite players and staff!
The “New Year, New Goals” group will meet today during Period 6 in the Mindfulness room. This group is open to any student who wants to change for the better in 2025.
Matches are in! Anyone who filled out the Matchomatics Survey, your results are in! Class Officers will be selling them for $3 during L1 and L2 in the mall.
The ESL Buddies Club will be hosting a Valentine’s Day Bake Sale on Today after school. It will benefit the Red Cross and the California Wildfires. Please stop by for a treat and donate!
