• This week is Unified Respect Spirit Week. We are promoting a socially inclusive school climate where acceptance, respect, and human dignity for all students is the norm. Today we wear blue for Autism Awareness month. Tomorrow wear something camouflaged because not all disabilities are seen. Wednesday, wear sweats or PJs to show we step out of our “comfort zone.” Thursday wear something neon or bright because our future is bright, and Friday, show you are North. We are all one, together everyone achieves more.
During the past weekend, two members of the boy’s fencing team competed in the New Jersey state fencing tournament to qualify for the USA fencing national championships. Nick Kmosko fenced in the men’s epee event and finished in 2nd place earning the silver medal. Clay Tomlinson fenced in the men’s foil event and finished in 7th place. Based on their results, both fencers have now qualified to compete in the national championships which will be held in Minneapolis, MN in July. Congratulations!
