This course is an introductory calculus course which covers the equivalent material of a first semester college course. Students study limits, differential and integral calculus, and applications of the above. Topics include properties of continuity and limits, the slope of a curve, the rate of change of a function, techniques for finding derivative of algebraic and trigonometric functions, extrema, the Mean Value Theorem, integration, area, and volume. This course does not prepare students for an A.P. examination in calculus.
