The North Hunterdon boys basketball built up a big lead and then held on for dear life, surviving Plainfield for a 63-62 win in the first round of the North 2 Group 4 playoffs at North Hunterdon High School.Top performer: Dan Hett and John Walton led the Lions with 16 and 15 points, respectively, while Michael DelSantro added four treys that energized the packed house every time.
What it means: North Hunterdon advancs and will travel to play third-seeded Newark East Side, a 49-37 winner over Watchung Hills.
