Shayne Fontana pitched 6.1 strong innings and was 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs Thursday as North Hunterdon held on for a 5-4 victory over Pope John. Andrew Meiners’ RBI triple keyed a three-run fifth inning for North Hunterdon. Josh Grunden relieved Fontana and recorded the last two outs to preserve the win.
