Tim Heard hit a grand slam in the second inning to give North (5-0) a 9-3 lead. He finished 3-for-3 with five RBI. Andrew Meiners also hit a homer and Shayne Fontana doubled. Randy Grzankowski allowed one run and two hits over 4 2/3 innings, struck out seven, and walked one to earn the win. North Hunterdon scored nine of its 14 runs in the second inning.
