The North Hunterdon Lady Lions Basketball team along with the Girls Basketball Booster Club will generously pay tribute to the courageous women battling breast cancer in our country as they face the The Warren Hills Blue Streaks on February 17, 2016 – JV 5:15pm and Varsity 7:00pm.
We ask that fans wear “Pink” to support Breast Cancer Awareness or “Purple” to support Pancreatic Cancer Awareness. We will also be recognizing our Lady Lion Basketball Seniors prior to the start of the game.
There will be contribution canisters when you walk into the game so please be kind and help fight these deadly diseases.
The American Cancer Society estimates that 231,840 American women will receive breast cancer and 48,960 a pancreatic diagnosis in 2015-2016. Breast cancer is the second most frequently diagnosed cancer in women. It is the leading cause of cancer death among women of all races and populations.

North Hunterdon (40) at Ridge (43) – Girls Basketball
Chrissy Weyrauch had 13 points to lead Ridge to a 43-40 victory over North Hunterdon in Annandale.
Sarah Korn Sammy Weyrauch each scored nine points for Ridge.
Claudia Maira had a game-high 18 points for North Hunterdon.

Phillipsburg (42) at North Hunterdon (77) – Boys Basketball
John Walton and Michael DelSantro both scored 19 points to lead North Hunterdon to a 77-42 victory over Phillipsburg in Annandale.
North Hunterdon featured a balanced offensive attack as Colin DelSantro scored 16 points and Chris Tywanick had 10 points. Andrew Berger capped off the game with an isolated two-handed dunk.
Chris Mann scored 17 points for Phillipsburg.

UCA 2016 National High School Cheerleading Championship
The North Hunterdon H.S. Lady Lions competitive Cheer squad placed 7th out of 52 teams in the Small Varsity Division 1 category. This is one of the most competitive divisions at Nationals with teams performing the most elite stunts and tumbling at the high school level. The North cheerleaders also took 2nd place in the Game Day Championship, in which the girls demonstrated their ability to respond to real game scenarios and utilize their skill in sideline cheers, dance, jumps, gymnastics, and stunting to effectively lead the crowd. Congratulations to the Girl’s Track & Field 4 by 800 relay team of Anna DiMarcello, Ellie DiMarcello, Angela Kearsley ,and Maddy Wolf as they hit the qualifying standard time for the Penn Relays last night at the Varsity Classic in the New York City Armory last night with an overall time of 9 minutes and 33 seconds. Great job girls!
