North Hunterdon, which had high hopes of advancing to the 12-team C of A race after placing 7th in 9:10.22 at the the New Balance Indoor Nationals last month, fell short of its goal of making the final by placing 6th in its Large School heat in 9:23.37, the top NJ time overall in the 4 qualifying heats. Anna DiMarcello anchored for North Hunterdon in 2:14.38.
North Hunterdon’s 9:23.37 was the 17th fastest time of the 69 teams that competed. The 12th and final qualifying time was 9:18.84 by Cardinal O’Hara of Pa.

The dynamic Trio of Meghan Graham, Maggie Swan and Bell Many strike again as the Lady Lions softball team defeated Vernon 10-0 in the second round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Softball Tournament.
Faith Lindabery’s eighth inning RBI drove in Maria Newsome for the game-winning run to lead North Hunterdon to an 11-10 victory over Allentown in Annandale.
Rob Marron had four goals and an assist for North Hunterdon in a 6-4 victory over St. Peter’s Prep, No. 20 in the NJ.com Top 20, in Jersey City.
Isabella Many went 4-for-4 with four RBI to lead North Hunterdon to a 7-2 victory over Sussex Tech in the first round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament in Annandale.
Matt Busher pitched his school’s first no-hitter since 1990 when ninth-seeded North Hunterdon earned a 14-0 victory over 16th-seeded Kittatinny in the first round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament in Annandale.


The North Girls Lacrosse program will be hosting a Cancer Awareness game on April 21st against Hunterdon Central at 6:30pm. The Boys program on April 29th. Proceeds will benefit Adam Hett, a local fireman and 2014 North Hunterdon graduate, recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
