The North Hunterdon High School boys lacrosse team’s start spelled out the Lions 2016 conclusion on Wednesday.
Sixth-seeded North Hunterdon fell to seventh-seeded Westfield 10-4 in the NJSIAA North Group 4 semifinals at Singley Field.
Westfield advances to play Bridgewater, which edged Hunterdon Central 9-8, in the sectional final on Saturday.
The Lions (12-7) fell behind the Blue Devils 4-0 in the first quarter and never got closer than two goals for the remainder of the evening.
Graham finished with two goals and was the only Lion to register more than one point.
North now bids farewell to an influential cast of seniors, including Graham, Koehler, all-time points leader Sean Wood, All-State pick Nick Gurreri and Rob Marron. The group appeared in three straight Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex finals, winning one, and progressed deeper into the state playoffs each season.
