For all interested students – Ms. Hardy – from the food services staff will be outside the cafe as you exit the building daily.\u00a0 She will have a lunch and breakfast (for the following day) available for all students free of charge. You don\u2019t need to sign up, you would just grab it and go. The lunch does require you to heat up the items once home.\u00a0 For those students staying through for sports or drama club (and signed up on the google form), please make sure you grab a hot lunch from inside the cafeteria and don\u2019t take a bag from Ms. Hardy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In support of the Day of Silence on April 23, Voorhees will have LGBTQ-related announcements leading to this event. This grassroots movement began in the 1990s with the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network. The movement is to raise awareness about bullying, harassment, and discrimination of LGBTQ individuals in high schools and colleges across America.\u00a0 Also, our No Place for Hate activity will highlight the LGBTQ community on April 28 and 29 in history classes. Today’s acknowledgment is brought to you by the letter L, representing Lesbian.\u00a0 Born in 1947, Deborah A. Batts, a US Federal Judge for the District of New York, was the nation’s first openly LGBT American federal judge, serving on the bench for seventeen years.<\/span><\/p>\n
