{"id":8562,"date":"2025-09-25T07:53:30","date_gmt":"2025-09-25T11:53:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/vhs\/home\/?p=8562"},"modified":"2025-09-25T07:53:33","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T11:53:33","slug":"turkey-splash-2025-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/vhs\/home\/turkey-splash-2025-information\/","title":{"rendered":"Turkey Splash 2025 Information"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>What is it?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the past six years Voorhees Unified has participated in the Turkey Splash.&nbsp; The Turkey Splash is an event that fundraises for the Special Olympics and our Unified Club.&nbsp; Last year we raised just under $14,000 coming in 1st place in the whole state of New Jersey!&nbsp; Students have chosen to participate by running the 5K, jumping in the ocean, or supporting their friends by coming to the event.&nbsp; When we reach our fundraising goal Principal Ron Peterson dresses up in a costume of our choice and jumps into the ocean &#8211; last year he went in as Buddy the Elf!
