Dear Parents and Students of Voorhees High School,<\/p>\n
I hope that you are having a relaxing and rewarding summer.\u00a0 It has been a busy summer at Voorhees in preparation for the new school year. Enjoy the remaining weeks, and we look forward to seeing you.<\/p>\n
Please take a moment to review the following information:<\/p>\n

Opening of School<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n All students will report for a regular day of school on Thursday, August 25, which will be an A Day.\u00a0 Course schedules will be published in Aspen, our student information system, later this week. Please check your student schedule again prior to the start of school as changes may have been made due to class balancing.<\/p>\n Our counseling staff has made extraordinary efforts to personalize each student\u2019s schedule. Long hours have been spent planning, assisting in course selections, and refining conflicts.\u00a0 This process should have effectively addressed any of your scheduling concerns.\u00a0 Please realize the amount of effort already expended and the constraints of course availability, class size, and room availability.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n COVID-19<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Please continue to report any positive cases of COVID-19 to our school nurses at 908-638-2148. As from the current guidance from the CDC or NJ Department of Health, students who test positive will be excluded from school for five days following symptoms onset or positive test. If symptoms improve and the student is fever-free, they may return to school but need to wear a mask on days 6 to 10. If your child is experiencing COVID-like symptoms, please keep them home and get them tested. More information on COVID-19 protocols will be included in the district\u2019s Safe Return Plan, which will be released in a separate communication once we receive updated guidance from the NJ Department of Health and the Department of Education. Please check your email for the information. Most of the information disseminated to you will be online.\u00a0 If you do not have access to the Internet, please inform us so that we may arrange to mail materials to you.\u00a0 We encourage you to become familiar with the information contained in the handbook and mark the dates of important school events throughout the year.
