{"id":2534,"date":"2014-10-21T15:38:45","date_gmt":"2014-10-21T19:38:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/vhs\/home\/?p=2534"},"modified":"2015-08-03T09:35:46","modified_gmt":"2015-08-03T13:35:46","slug":"world-language-honor-society","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/vhs\/home\/world-language-honor-society\/","title":{"rendered":"World Language Honor Society"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><\/div>\n<div>Advisor: Mrs. Vlasova, room 256 &amp; the WL office (261)<\/div>\n<div>Contact Info:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:tvlasova@nhvweb.net\" target=\"_blank\">tvlasova@nhvweb.net<\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em\">The\u00a0<\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5em\">World Language Honor Society (WLHS)<\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em\">\u00a0incorporates four different societies into one, each of them representing a language taught at Voorhees High School (French, German, Latin, and Spanish).<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In order to qualify for the WLHS a student must:<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0&#8211; be in the third year of the language<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0&#8211; have an overall grade of an &#8220;A-&#8221; for two years and maintain good grades<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0&#8211; participate in the respective language club<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Once inducted, the student is expected to maintain the averages, peer tutor, and participate in one of the events sponsored by the WLHS: Induction (taking place in November), World Language Day and other activities to help promote world languages<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Meetings will take place weekly or every other week depending on the density of activities.
