Steve Syrstad brings 40 years of experience in sports medicine to Voorhees High School and has served the Voorhees community for more than two decades. Throughout his career, Steve has been a trusted advocate for student-athletes, emphasizing physical rehabilitation, safety, evidence-based care, and proactive injury prevention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At Voorhees, Steve helps oversee the comprehensive health and safety of student-athletes. His responsibilities include injury prevention, emergency care, clinical evaluation, rehabilitation, concussion management, and assisting with the development and implementation of the school’s Emergency Action Plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A major part of Steve’s approach is education and empowerment. He works to help student-athletes better understand injury prevention, recognize health concerns, and develop healthy habits that extend beyond their high school athletic careers. He also works closely with school physicians, nurses, coaches, and families to provide coordinated care for Voorhees student-athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Steve believes athletic training extends beyond treating injuries. His goal is to create a culture of safety and education that helps Vikings remain healthy, competitive, and successful both on and off the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Biola Adeleye joined the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District for the 2026\u20132027 school year. Prior to joining Voorhees, Biola served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Centenary University and brings nearly three years of experience in the athletic training field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Biola takes a holistic and educational approach to student-athlete healthcare, with an emphasis on comprehensive sports medicine and injury prevention. Since arriving at Voorhees, Biola has helped modernize student-athlete medical management, including implementing digital kiosk systems designed to improve injury check-ins and treatment tracking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Biola’s responsibilities include daily injury treatment and rehabilitation, injury prevention, concussion management and ImPACT testing, student-athlete medical clearance, and collaboration with coaches and other healthcare professionals. Biola also works closely with school nurses and athletic training staff at North Hunterdon High School to help develop and refine district-wide medical policies and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through clear communication, technology, education, and evidence-based practices, Biola is committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for every Voorhees student-athlete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
