Participating in camps and attending summer workouts provides your child with opportunities to improve skills and conditioning, build relationships with teammates, become more familiar with the program, and, most importantly, experience enjoyment in the process.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><i>That said, these activities are not required. Participation should be based entirely on what works best for your child and your family. We do not expect families to rearrange summer plans or feel obligated to spend money in order to attend camps or workouts we offer; these are simply opportunities for those who are interested and available.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><i>While we encourage our athletes to stay active and engaged over the summer, it should never come at the expense of their well-being or that of their family. Summer break is a valuable time for student-athletes to rest, recharge, and enjoy a well-earned break from the demands of the school year. If your child needs a break, that\u2019s okay\u2014summer is meant to be enjoyed.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>SUMMER CAMPS: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many of our summer camps, run by our coaches, will be through the LTAA.\u00a0 Here is a link to the main page for sign-ups: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ltaanj.sportngin.com\/page\/show\/8197044-current-registrations\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LTAA Summer Camps<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>SUMMER WORKOUTS:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Any athlete signing up for school-sponsored summer workouts should sign up for Summer Intramurals in ASPEN and needs to have a valid physical as of 6\/15\/2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Tips for Signing up for Summer Intramurals on ASPEN<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All incoming freshman parents have been sent an email about setting up their ASPEN accounts. If you have any problems accessing your parent account in Aspen, please contact our database manager, Sherri DiMarcello, at <\/span><a href=\"mailto:sdimarcello@nhvweb.net\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sdimarcello@nhvweb.net<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the Home Page, click on the \u201cPages\u201d Tab on the toolbar, then click the \u201cPage Directory\u201d button right underneath<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From there, click on the \u201cVoorhees Intramural\u201d Icon (top row, 2nd from the right)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That page will give you access to all the forms you need to fill out.\u00a0 Specifically, the <\/span><b>\u201c<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consent for Intramural Participation Form\u201d is where you will specifically select the summer session.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your child must have a valid physical on file with the school that is good through June 15th, and if you have not done so already, your family doctor&#8217;s office needs to fill out the District <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/vhs\/healthoffice\/files\/2024\/09\/nj-ppe-form-2024-1.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PPE Medical Eligibility Form<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and this needs to be submitted to the Health Office so our school doctor can sign off on it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Between you having the form filled out, dropping it off at our health office, our health office getting to the doctor, our doctor signing off, and our health office updating it in the system\u2026it could take a while.\u00a0 So please get your end done well before your child wants to start participating.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Physical is good for one year, so a returning student with a physical on file that is still valid through 6\/17 will not have to fill out a new form for Summer Intramurals.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Please note: Sign-up for Fall Sports will not be available until July<\/i><\/b><b><i>.\u00a0 Any workout your child shows up for at the school from June to mid-August is under the umbrella of \u201cSummer Intramurals.\u201d\u00a0 So this means that, even though your child may be working out with a fall sports program over the summer, you will <\/i><\/b><b><i>still<\/i><\/b><b><i> have to sign them up for fall season when that opens up.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b><i>Example:\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b><i>Your child is a football player.\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b><i>You log into Aspen and sign them up for \u201cSummer Intramurals\u201d in May so they can work out with the football team from June to mid-August.\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b><i>Aspen opens up for Fall Sports Signups in early July.<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b><i>You <\/i><\/b><b><i>then<\/i><\/b> <b><i>sign into Aspen again and sign your child up for football, so they can start on the first official day of Practice.<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Impact Testing<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Any student-athlete planning to participate in any intramural or interscholastic sport throughout the school year needs to have a valid baseline concussion test through Impact.\u00a0 These tests are valid for two years and are typically done in 9th and 11th grade.\u00a0 The test can be taken at home.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A link for all incoming freshmen to take the Impact test will be sent to incoming freshman <\/span><b>parents <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in early May.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 Please note, the email will be coming from \u201cImpact\u201d not a district account.\u00a0 This <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">must <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">be completed before they participate.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rising 11th-graders will have the summer to complete the test and should be on the lookout for an email from Impact in their student email account.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are some specifics provided by our coaches running summer workouts.\u00a0 This is a live document, so look for updates and additions in the coming weeks.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Boys and Girls Tennis:<\/strong> Summer camp will take place from June 29 &#8211; July 2nd from 12:30-4:00 pm on the Voorhees Tennis Courts for boys and girls entering grades 9-12.\u00a0 \u00a0Fall practices will begin on Wednesday August 12 from 8:00-10:00.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Head Coach: Mitch Collins; <a
