{"id":671,"date":"2017-02-21T19:02:50","date_gmt":"2017-02-22T00:02:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/vhs\/athletics\/blacrosse\/?page_id=671"},"modified":"2018-02-27T20:54:33","modified_gmt":"2018-02-28T01:54:33","slug":"training-information","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/vhs\/athletics\/blacrosse\/training-information\/","title":{"rendered":"TRAINING INFORMATION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Voorhees Boys Lacrosse Training Information<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Strength Training<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Voorhees Lacrosse will emphasize strength training, mobility, agility, and conditioning. \u00a0Although our lacrosse skills are important, to be successful in the sport of lacrosse (and most sports) one must have the mental and physical strength and endurance to compete at a high level. \u00a0Players will be conditioned in and out of season to build and maintain the strength needed to be successful on the field. \u00a0This will also help prevent injury to players. \u00a0Below players can find workouts that cater to their needs at different points in their performance seasons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/vhs\/athletics\/blacrosse\/files\/2017\/02\/Lacrosse-Fall-2017-Workout.xlsx\">Fall 2017 Lacrosse Workout<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Below you will find a link to a calendar schedule of lifting session times that have been allocated for our lacrosse team to train in the fall and winter. \u00a0There will be a coach present to supervise and assist players. \u00a0This calendar is updated weekly. \u00a0It is imperative that we continue to enhance our athleticism in the offseason.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1aqg2h_9AKMCnlVU7b2O8s9bhrQZ9CFeMzR32UJ-NGzs\/edit#gid=7\">Winter\/Spring 2018 Extra Hours Weight Room Calendar<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Wall Ball Routine<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Wall ball is an important part of any player&#8217;s development. \u00a0Wall ball is an excellent practice that every player can perform on their own with minimal resources. \u00a0All a player needs is their stick, a wall, and a ball. \u00a0Check out our wall ball routine and remember the fundamentals below.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhvweb.net\/vhs\/athletics\/blacrosse\/files\/2017\/02\/Voorhees-Lacrosse-Wall-Ball-Routine.docx\">Voorhees Lacrosse Wall Ball Routine<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>All positions can benefit from wall ball<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Goalie<\/u>: The quarterback on the clear. Outlets need to be precise and accurate.
